Eating Apple

No comment - Post a comment

Nina ate the whole apple including the skin by herself. She saw her teacher at the Little Gym did that and wanted to do it herself too. And she did. :)

Nina was making a mess with newspaper on the floor just now and her mom ask her to put them back under the table where we usually keep the old newspapers. She did it reluctantly and said:

“Mommy, Nina is not housekeeping”

HURRAY !!!

Last night, Nina surprised me by counting from 1 to 30. She said the last 10 number correctly .. or not quite .. but she’s getting there. :)

“… … … twenty one .. twenty two .. twenty three .. twenty four .. twenty five .. twenty six .. twenty seven .. twenty eight .. twenty nine .. twenty TEN “

She is 3 years old and is on track to be able to count from 1 to 50 by the time she is 5. :)

At the Bolliwood restaurant:
We attended a one month celebration of my friend’s baby at the Bolliwood restaurant at Greenbelt 3, Makati. And Nina ate fresh pineapple fruit for the first time. When she saw her mommy brought a plate of pineapple, she told her mommy, “thank you .. thank you … thank you”.  :)

At home:
“You still have a tattoo”, Nina said to me as soon as she saw that the “tattoo” of goofy was still on my right tummy. She put that on for me last weekend.

And after seeing that I was done with my shower, we had this conversation:

Nina: “Daddy, do  you want to play bowling with me?”

Me: “Yes”

Nina: “Oh, great … I use the green bowling, you use the blue bowling”

She learned how to say “oh great” from the Blue Clue movie.

New haircut

Nina told me when I got home today, “Daddy, I have a haircut”. And then she said, “Nina cut Nina’s poni”. Poni is Indonesian word for fringes.

Her mom brought her to Rustan today at Glorietta to have her hair cut. She didn’t cry.

I asked where she had her hair cut, and she said “in the salon”.

Chalana

We like to tease Nina because it’s fun to listen to her to say the word “chalana”. She refers this to her underwear as she has already started wearing it since about 2-3 months ago when she is at home without diaper.

The word chalana comes from an Indonesian word “celana” which means pants.

Nina asked me to draw with her just now …”Daddy, do you want to draw?” And then she went on to say, “Daddy, it’s time to draw”.

She went on drawing herself and asked for another paper. She said “mommy, can I use another paper, please?”

Nina went to see doctor Vienne today at Magallanes. She has skin irritation on her right cheek. Nina now weighed 15+ kg and her height is now 94cm. Back in January, she was 92cm.

Nina started her summer class at the Little Gym today. Her mom sent me a text message at 10am this morning:

Nina pinter di sekolah mau ditinggal di gym and gak pake pampers

Her mom didn’t join her at the gym and she didn’t wear diaper either.

8 children in the class, some were from her previous class, called “Superbeast” and some were new. Nina seemed to enjoy her new class after spending some time sitting and observing her new friends and playing by herself at the gym. She joined them playing together after that.

During her previous school term, Nina never wanted to join her friends lining up before entering the classroom after the gym session. And today, her mom was surprised to see Nina lining up together with her friends while entering the classroom. Good improvement. :)

She was cheerful when her mom picked her up. Nina proudly told her mom, “Nina pinter gak nangis”. And she also told her mom that she was able to tell her teacher when she wanted to go to the restroom. “Nina wee wee sama teacher”, she said.

Nina met her old friends from the previous class: Una, Kohsuke, Aaliya, Elki and she met some new ones, like Drew and Maria.

Nina asked me to play farm last night.

Nina: “Daddy, Nina wanna play farm”

And then she sang twinkle-twinkle little star, but she replaced all the words with only one word “please”.

Nina: “Please, please, please, please, please, please, please … please, please, please, please, please, please, please”

And then she asked me to say “Yes” by singing the same song too: “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes … yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes”
