I have promised Nina that I would buy her a scooter if she dared to float and swim with the hand floats without me holding her. Which she did last 15 February 2010. See the post about that here. So this morning, I went out to look for a scooter at Toy’s R Us Tampines. She told me to first look for the green one (her favorite color), and then pink if there is no green and then purple. But unfortunately that scooter comes in only black or pink color and they only had the black one in stock. So, I came home empty handed and told Nina that I would go to another store to look for the pink one. She looked disappointed of course. If I were her, I would too.
Today is the 7th day of Chinese New Year, traditionally known as ‘Ren Le’, the birthday or mankind. So, happy birthday to everyone!!! I was invited to an open house by Michelle Tan, a new friend whom I knew after she became my client at Masakecil Photography. Rannie, Nina and I went there and decided to stop by Forum at Orchard after that. We went to the Toy’s R Us at Forum to look for the pink scooter and they had it! They also had one on display and Nina immediately tried it out. She played with it during the 30 minutes we were there.
