We started to introduce solid food to Nina when she's five months old. Started with cereal, she seemed to like it.

Nina ... five months old ... time really flies.

She has grown strong enough to raise her chest while on her stomach, supported by her arms. She has also been able to hold her head up steadily when held upright. She responded well when we played with her, would smile spontaneously and squealed in delight.

Since she was about 4 months old, Nina could bring her hands together over her chest and playing with her fingers while she is on her back.

Sunset .. at Ubin Island

I went to Ubin Island yesterday for a photo outing arranged by one of the photo labs here in Singapore. Towards the end of the outing, we all saw a very nice red color of the sky. Sunset was good. I quickly changed my ISO to 100 (was 400 before as I was shooting other dimly lit subject), knowing that I would be able to get fast shutter speed handheld and then metered the sky above the sun. I underexposed it by about 2/3 to get a more saturated color. Hope you like it.

Foggy Afternoon at Bromo

This was taken sometime back in 2002 when I took one month break from work and went to Bromo, East Java, with my wife and her family.
It was a foggy afternoon as you can see behind the horse rider. He wasn't there yet when I first set up my tripod. I was interested with the foggy scenery and the light brownish color of the slope on the left. When I was ready to click the shutter, suddenly I saw him moving up. It was an uphill ride for him. I first saw his head, his body and finally his horse !!! I quickly checked the composition and the focus and took some shots in bracket. When I got the slide back from the lab, I like the painting-like feeling of the photograph.

My Precious Nina

My daugther Nina, was born on Jan 10th 2005 at Mt. Alvernia Hospital. She was 2.86 kg and 48cm at birth and didn't give her mum much problem during delivery. She was tagged almost immediately, so the nurses would know who her mummy was in case she decided to take a walk by herself. :-)

She must be so hungry and agitated that she asked to get out that day. But, she just kept sleeping :-)
